Webinar Series: Leveraging Systemness for Transformation

This webinar presented by the National Association of System Heads (NASH), a RISE UPP Alliance amplifying partner, will provide participants with an overview of the concept of systemness and how to leverage the power of a system to transform practices and enhance outcomes.

Systems, a major component of the nation’s higher education ecosystem, are the predominant form of organization used by the states (44 out of 50) to govern, manage, coordinate, and resource the provision of higher education in the states. Systems are also highly effective and influential drivers for innovation and change. According to Dr. Lane, the concept of “systemness” was a deliberate mindset shift from seeing systems as allocators or regulators to facilitators and collaborators. The webinar will highlight how “systemness,” collective impact, and change management can contribute to the RISE UPP outcomes. We will share examples of how this work can take place across institutions within a system.
