Webinar Series: RISE UPP Alliance Demographic Dashboard

Stephanie Johnston, a Functional Data Analyst with The Graduate School at UNC-Chapel Hill, will present an interactive dashboard tool developed collaboratively between the University of North Carolina System and the University System of Maryland. The dashboard can be used to explore race/ethnicity data within the four RISE UPP affiliated systems for STEM postdoctoral scholars and full-time faculty positions. Filters and parameters allow the user to compare various demographic and institutional attributes, view change over time, and drill down to different levels of detail. User-customized graphs and tables can be downloaded in several formats, including PowerPoint and Excel.

With new data being added annually, the dashboard can facilitate the comparison of benchmark indicators, enabling the establishment of baseline metrics to track progress over time.  The insights derived from exploring the dashboard go beyond individual institutions, offering administrators valuable tools for progress tracking with comparable data across entire university systems and the alliance.
